Where you come in:
In this full-time, permanent position, based in Carlton, you will provide high-quality legal advice and services to internal Save the Children Austral ia clients. You’ll be part of our Legal Team and report to our General Counsel.
You will make an impact by:
- Delivering commercially focused in-house legal services, including advising on funding agreements, intellectual property, data and privacy and regulatory compliance
- Conducting contract reviews and ensuring compliance with internal contract approval and execution processes
- Delivering internal training, preparing precedents and practice notes, and maintaining the Legal intranet page
- Providing support on special legal projects

You are a highly motivated and values driven early career professional with sharp technical legal skills and the ability to build strong relationships of trust with clients. You can confidently run your own matters and make judgement calls (with support from the General Counsel). You’re highly organised, thrive under pressure, solutions-focused, and keen to do work that directly impacts the lives of children around the world.
This role requires:
- Post-qualification experience as a practising lawyer either in private practice or in-house
- Current legal practising certificate
- A keen sense for commercial outcomes and delivering quality legal advice
- Confidence to run matters and make decisions to achieve pragmatic solutions
