one. Context

AVSI Venezuela is a Venezuelan non-profit organization, created in 2022, to contribute to improving the living conditions of people living in vulnerable situations. We are a local organization linked to the international context, through a partnership with the AVSI Foundation, a non-profit non-governmental organization that supports 329 development cooperation projects in 39 countries, with headquarters in Italy, that operates in Venezuela since 2000 and that promoted the creation of AVSI Venezuela.

The WFP School-Based Program in Venezuela includes school meals served in schools and school meals to take home. According to each modality, WFP has established processes and activities that require coordination between different areas and actors. The School-Based Program includes, in a cross-cutting manner, a communication strategy with communities, inclusive treatment of people with disabilities and nutrition-sensitive actions, like a feedback and complaint mechanism, that together with school meals they aim to provide food assistance that protects the food security of the beneficiary students and their families, respect your rights and facilitate your participation in the school community. Likewise,promote capacity building in school personnel, kitchen staff and representatives, and ensure a gender and protection approach.

2. Object

With this announcement, AVSI Venezuela selects fifteen ( 15 ) Listers responsible for lifting and ensuring the quality of data collection exercises, within the framework of the Program, following the corporate guidelines of WFP. The team of enumerators will be in charge of updating the beneficiary registry, conducting the results survey and various collection activities established by WFP.

3. Description of functions

  • In charge of data collection exercises, according to corporate WFP guidelines.
  • Ensure the quality of the data collected in the field.
  • Contribute to the achievement of the goals established by WFP on the number of surveys to be carried out and the number of schools to visit for the exercise of beneficiary registration, updating of beneficiary registration, surveys on food safety outcome indicators and other information gathering exercises that may be required, in accordance with WFP guidelines, technical standards and quality standards.
  • Contribute to the fact that the data collected in the field is correctly loaded onto the corporate platform of WFP.
  • Learn how to manage WFP’s corporate tools in the implementation of data collection exercises.
  • Report technical-operational problems that may arise during the survey survey and propose solutions to manage them, in coordination with the monitoring coordinator and the WFP team.
  • Ensure the proper handling of the technological equipment arranged by WFP for the survey.
  • Comply with corporate WFP standards regarding beneficiary data protection.

4. Key requirements and qualifications

  • Education: Students / Interns with an interest in developing technical and social skills.
  • Experience: Experience in data collection and digitization. Management of interview techniques.

5. Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Willingness and interest in participating in the training processes dictated by WFP.

6. Coordination of work

The Listers will respond directly to the Monitoring Coordinator and the State Coordinator, based on the guidelines issued by the LATEAM Regional office, the Headquarters in Italy of the AVSI Foundation and the World Food Program ( WFP ).

7. Type of hiring

Contract at a certain time.

Duration: 8 months, between November 2023 and September 2024.

8. Workplace

The AVSI Venezuela Foundation will have an office in Yaracuy to support and monitor the program, so residing in the Bolívar and Manuel Monge municipalities or surrounding cities is highly desirable. Knowledge of the territory will be valued.
