JOB OBJECTIVES:

Join a dynamic and committed team as a Logistics Specialist Manager and become a key player in logistics innovation in the field! Reporting to the Logistics Director, you will be responsible for integrating and developing the skills of the logistics sector, ensuring optimal management of operations across all programs.

This role will allow you to directly impact social missions, by bringing real added value to projects. You will be an inspiring leader by animating and federating the logistics business sector through quality training and opportunities for peer exchanges. You will play a strategic role in the deployment of HI’s logistics standards, thus contributing to the definition of the key positioning of the logistics function within the organization.

With a team of 8 employees (4 logistics specialists based at headquarters, 2 offshore logistics specialists, and 2 roving), you will lead ambitious projects and be at the heart of the action to guarantee quality logistics in the service of social missions.

Your main missions will be as follows:

1) Team management

  • Contributes to the development of its employees, by creating the conditions to enable their commitment, their professionalization and their attachment to HI. Ensures compliance with the code of conduct of institutional policies, the state of mind and the expected individual and collective behaviors.

2) Development and strengthening of the logistical capacities and skills of the programs

  • Contributes to the development and deployment of Logistics standards including all tools
  • Contributes to the animation of the logistics community of practice
  • Assesses whether the skills required of logistics teams meet expectations

3) Strategy and management

  • Monitors global logistics risk mapping and develops corrective and mitigation action plans
  • Supports the Logistics Director in developing the Logistics Strategy, related logistics action plans by program, and associated indicators (ensures the relevance of the indicators implemented)
  • Based on the program logistics dashboard (MBO), identifies possible deviations and gaps from the objectives set. It analyzes the data contained in the tools.

4) Compliance monitoring and program optimization

  • Collects key performance indicators and provides analyses to logistics management
  • Analyzes program logistics risks (fraud, theft/embezzlement, corruption, non-compliance, favoritism, accidents)

5) Standards and Accountability

  • Participates in the instruction and production of logistics frameworks and, if necessary, their revision.
  • Supports the deployment of the Anti-Fraud and Corruption Policy, Anti-Terrorism Measures and Regulations, the Environmental Agenda and the Framework for Protection against Abuse on HI beneficiaries, communities and staff on their programs

6) Preparation and response to contextual emergencies and crises

REQUIRED PROFILE:

  • You have at least 5 years of experience in logistics management. You have had the opportunity to work on the coordination of logistics issues of programs
  • You have mastered the professions of purchasing, supplies or general services management
  • Thanks to your previous experiences, you have been able to work in humanitarian logistics and you have been able to intervene on change management issues.
  • You know how to develop and implement logistics strategies
  • You are organized in the context of your missions and you demonstrate rigor and responsiveness.
  • You like being in contact with different people and therefore have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • You have an excellent command of French and English

ACCESSIBILITY OF THE WORKPLACE:

The premises are easily accessible by public transport (bus, metro). A car park and a bicycle park are also available. Within the building, access ramps and elevators guarantee better circulation. All workstations are located in Open Space but boxes are available on each floor to work in peace if necessary. The workspace is very bright.

JOB CONDITIONS:

Permanent contract starting at the beginning of April ideally.
