Maintenance and Installation of Solar System & panels Trainer At Ghiras Al-Nahda

General Description of the Organization:

Ghiras Al-Nahda is a Nonprofit Non-governmental humanitarian organization working to empower people through fulfilling their basic needs and seeking to improve community stability and resilience.

Background to the Assignment

The vocational training program for the Maintenance and Installation and Creation of Solar Systems and Panels aims to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue careers in the renewable energy sector. The training program is essential to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in solar system maintenance and installation

Scope of Work

The trainer will be responsible for:

  • Developing a comprehensive course curriculum covering maintenance and installation techniques for solar systems and panels.
  • Delivering interactive training sessions that include theoretical knowledge and practical demonstrations.
  • Providing hands-on support to participants during practical training exercises.
  • Collaborating with program management to incorporate feedback and improve the curriculum as necessary.

The training aims to achieve the following objectives:

The primary objectives of this course are to:

  • Introduce participants to the principles and components of solar energy systems.
  • Develop participants’ skills in the maintenance, installation, and creation & design of solar panels and associated equipment.
  • Prepare participants for entry-level positions in the renewable energy sector.
  • Enhance participants’ understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to solar system work.

Key Deliverables:

The trainer will deliver:

  • A detailed course curriculum including lesson plans, exercises, and learning materials.
  • Training sessions covering theoretical concepts and practical demonstrations.
  • Training reports documenting participant progress and feedback.

LOCATION:

The training will be delivered in a training center in Dana.

TIMEFRAME

This is a short-term assignment for individual trainers for four months (with the possibility of extension) divided into two phases as follows:

Phase one: Providing VT:

10/March/2024 till 09/May/2024.

The trainer is expected to provide VT program theoretical and practical parts in the training center for five days per week, five hours per day. The trainer is expected to provide a training report for this phase.

Phase two: mentoring, and coaching:

01/July/2024 till 31/August/2024.

The trainer is expected to provide the needed support, supervision, and coaching for the trainees by conducting field visits (on-site). The trainer is expected to provide a training report for this phase.

It is possible to adjust the mentioned timeline according to the project implementation circumstances.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

The trainer should possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Relevant academic certificate in renewable energy or at least five years’ experience in the maintenance and installation of solar systems and panels.
  • Teaching or training experience, preferably in vocational education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to solar system work.
