Overview of position:
Chelsea Energie is currently looking for qualified candidates to a fill position to manage 140 MW HFO plant, expanding to include 7 additional power plants totalling 112MW.

Role objectives:
In collaboration with the Plant Manager, prepares the annual maintenance plan based on the annual operating plan & the annual maintenance budget for the corresponding spare parts, materials & other supply related requirements of the plant maintenance & to plan, organize & implement the proper implementation of all maintenance activities.
Ensures that policies, procedures are adopted & implemented for the good, proper & efficient maintenance of the power plant & ensures the compliance of the employees under his command.
Provides sound leadership & ensures the continuous development & training of maintenance personnel in response to the changes in priorities, practices & technical know how.
Reviews & evaluates the operating data of the plant’s machineries & equipment.
Plans, organizes & implements corrective actions to ensure their maximum operational efficiency.
To determine & implement improvements to attain the best operation & maintenance of the plant as according to the company’s & International acceptable standards.
To develop data in reference to the maintenance budget of the plant, ensuring that costs are controlled within the amount of approved expenditures & advises the Plant Manager of exceptional matters related to maintenance.
To review the PO’s that exceed a predetermined level of approval, before which it allows their achievement.
To organize & ensure that the engines & auxiliaries are prepared for the annual capacity test & to organize & have the plant prepared for the annual environmental compliance audit to obtain the necessary permit to operate.
To coordinate to all departments regarding work plans to determine priorities based on necessities in order not to disrupt the smooth operation of the plant.
Keeps detailed records of the status of the plant in order to keep track of the different predictive, preventive & corrective types of maintenances, the parts replacements & the maintenance costs.
In coordination with the Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Officer, ensures the implementation & compliance of the facility with respect to the environmental rules, regulations & promotes the timely preparation of reports as required.
Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, annual reports, recommendations, records for the continuing maintenance & management of a world class facility.
To develop, monitor investment budget & expenses of the maintenance area to ensure the optimization of investment & keep costs under strict control.
Prepare spare parts, materials & other supplies requirements of the whole plant, to make purchase requisitions, acquires price quotations & create PO’s for approval of the Plant Manager for final procurement.
To carry out annual performance evaluation of his staff to determine the area of improvement & training needs.

Project reporting:
This role reports to the Plant Manager.

Key competencies:
Must be a mechanical or electrical engineer with at least 5 years’ experience as Maintenance Manager on a large capacity gas or diesel engine power plant preferably under O&M contract with 15 years of work experience in power plants.
Computer literate & must have knowledge working on any Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software.

Team management:
Team management experience is required for this role.
