ACTED Mali

Since 2012, ACTED has been mobilized in Mali in response to the complex crisis and the structural and economic challenges facing the country, with interventions that combine emergency operations and development programs. ACTED teams (today 11 international employees and 160 national employees) have supported more than 1 million people in 6 regions of Mali: Ségou, Mopti, Gao, Menaka, Timbuktu and Bamako.

Main role and responsibilities

The Technical Coordinator is responsible for providing coordination and support, strategic planning and technical support for activities in a given geographical area, in a given sector. He/she plays a key role in providing technical input for sector strategy and project development at local and national level. In addition, he supports the project team for the planning, design, implementation, supervision, potential deployments and administrative management of technical interventions in the sector.

Qualifications and skills required

  • Bac +3 or 5 corresponding to the area of ​​expertise;
  • Minimum de deux ans d’expériences dans un pays en développement ;
  • Expérience en gestion de projet d’environ 5 ans dans le domaine d’expertise ;
  • Bonnes capacités rédactionnelles ;
  • Excellente expression orale et écrite en français ;
  • Très fortes capacités organisationnelles ;
  • Forte flexibilité, compétences interpersonnelles et compétences de négociation ;
  • Forte habilité à travailler dans un contexte interculturel ;
  • Autonomie.

Conditions

  • Salaire défini par la grille des salaires ACTED en fonction du niveau d’études, de l’expertise, du niveau de sécurité et du niveau d’expérience : entre 3300 et 3500€ net mensuel (avant impôts sur le revenu)
  • Indemnité mensuelle de frais de vie 300$
  • Logement en guesthouse et nourriture pris en charge par ACTED
  • Sécurité sociale, mutuelle (MSH) et assistance rapatriement (SOS International) pris en charge par ACTED
  • Transport to the mission and return ticket fully covered every 6 months (to the address specified on the employment contract)
  • Visa fees covered by ACTED
  • R&R every 3 months (plane ticket covered up to $500 + additional allowance of $200)
  • A week of preparation for departure including 4 days of immersion safety training
  • Possibility of having a 30-minute call with a tax consultant
  • Psychological support (appointment with a professional)
