Know our team

Nutrition International’s Corporate Services (CS) unit is a dedicated team of Finance and Administrative experts with extensive global experience. The unit leads on providing global Accounting, Finance, Budget and Compliance, Contracting and Procurement, Facilities management, and Information Management and Information Technology (IM/IT). Corporate Services teams are found in Nutrition International’s Headquarters in Ottawa, Canada, as well as within our Regional and Country offices throughout Africa and Asia.

About you

You have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, commerce, or accounting with at least 5 years of proven experience in financial management, including financial reporting and analysis, developing costing models / budgets at the project design stage and risk assessment and mitigation for $5M+ proposals. You are well organized, flexible and enjoy the challenges and rewards of working in a diverse office environment.

About the role

In this role you will:

  • Collaborate and work with unit directors and program staff to establish and manage program and unit budgets.
  • Develop a regular budget review process identifying budget variances and explanations. Investigate and prepare variance analysis to ensure efficient project financial management and compliance with donor agreement terms and conditions
  • Develop, implement and maintain standard costing system for program components in various countries/regions to facilitate proposal budget development and review.
  • Identify areas of risk by providing regular analysis of financial health of GIC-s (Grant Intervention Country) against standard key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Continuously evaluate Projects Financial Risks and update Risk Registers as required for escalation to management, including mitigation measures.
