Manager Digital Transformation* At Welthungerhilfe

The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with an initial contract duration of one year. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany. Working remotely is possible at any time in coordination with your team.

Digitization is changing everything. Our information and communication behavior, our way of working and living. In order to remain relevant in the digital world, Welthungerhilfe is working on the further development of previous business processes and thought patterns. To proactively respond to these changes, we are searching for a timely replacement for the position as Manager Digital Transformation in our newly created Digital Transformation Office (DTO). The goal of the DTO is to make Welthungerhilfe even more efficient and future-oriented. To achieve this, we need personalities who are fearless and unconventional, have the courage to try out new ideas and take responsibility. Classical leadership is being replaced by greater freedom, more agile processes, more responsibility, a changed error culture, shorter decision-making paths and an acceptance of the “controlled loss of control”.

Your responsibilities

  • With your know-how, you support and accompany your colleagues in various transformation projects on the topics of digitalization and cultural change at Welthungerhilfe and thus shape the image of the company at various touchpoints externally and internally.
  • In collaboration with other Units, you will design innovative development opportunities for our employees to further develop digital skills, build knowledge and cultural change in the context of digital transformation.
  • You support our teams to introduce and implement a digital and more agile working culture and demonstrate your digital skills in creating creative learning and culture formats.
  • You support international project teams in selecting and implementing digital solutions and tools.
  • Communication and transparency are fundamental for digital transformation: In coordination with other departments and your team, you create and maintain suitable platforms and media.
  • You will plan, organize and moderate (digital) formats, events and/or discussions that drive cultural change.
  • We are the point of contact for interested employees and teams in the digitial context and you advise them on questions, but also fears around the topic digital transformation.

Your profile

  • You have successfully completed a master’s or diploma degree and have experience in the field of organizational development and change management.
  • You have proven experience in planning and executing projects – ideally in the field of IT or organizational development.
  • You have an excellent feel for digital trends and their impact on organizational culture, leadership and collaboration.
  • You see yourself as a tackler with enthusiasm for digital change and have a solid knowledge of agile methods.
  • You enjoy working with very different people and teams, and resistance in the context of change processes does not upset you.
  • You are able to spontaneously and flexibly familiarize yourself with new working fields and situations and have a very independent working style.
  • You are looking forward to enriching our motivated team with your expertise, energy and humor.
  • We expect you to have a good command of Office 365 and very good spoken and written English – our official working language is English.
