The Opportunity
This position shares responsibility for providing support to the Bangladesh Program in mobilizing resources to meet the needs of children. S/he will lead the proposal development and will act as key contact for program teams to identify and follow up on linkages between member interest and country office opportunities. The Manager will actively work on the implementation of the Country Office fundraising strategy, as well as contribute to the organization wide capacity development on new business development across all relevant departments and functions.
Qualifications and experience
* At least 5 years’ experience in developing high-quality projects and programs as well as identifying and securing funding from a wide variety of institutional and multilateral donors across different program themes. * Substantial knowledge of key donor proposal formats, compliance and requirements (EU/ DFAT/ GAC/ USAID/ FCDO/ GFFO etc.) * Experience of working on and/or developing bids for contracts (e.g., World Bank, USAID, SDC) * Thorough understanding of the general funding landscape including trends and new directions * In-depth knowledge and ability to apply and teach project/program development tools and processes, including Log frames and Theory of Change * Demonstrated experience in leading development of proposals (incl. complex and/ or large / multi-million programs) * Highly developed interpersonal and pro-active communication skills including communicating with impact, influencing, negotiation and coaching, and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures * Excellent English writing and presentation skills * Advanced computer proficiency in MS-Office suit * Master’s Degree, preferably in Social Science/ Political Science/ Development Studies/ Communications or relevant field
