Marketing Officer (Website) At Human Relief Foundation

From major project work through to extraordinary stories of hope and change, our communication staff play an essential role in helping our organisation, and staff, to communicate well. To aid this process we’re seeking a talented communications officer to join our close-knit, friendly team.

Our website is a vitally important platform for communicating with our audiences, and your job will be to ensure it performs its role without a hitch. You’ll accomplish this by bringing your creativity, technical knowledge, and can-do approach to the team. An approach that will ensure our CMS is well structured, lively, up-to-date, accurate, and responsive to industry innovation.

You’ll also be both a self-starter, who wants to make a difference to the lives of those we support, and someone who is able to work closely with a likeminded group of friendly creatives.

What will you be doing:

  • You’ll be managing and maintaining the website – from updating our web pages, images, videos, blogs posts, articles, to producing landing pages, and optimizing SEO and user experience (UX)
  • You’ll lead on the development of HRF’s website, and our international sites
  • Work to increase donor acquisition and retention levels
  • Optimising website structure and content for search engines (SEO) and/or the use of online advertising (SEM)
  • Conduct competitor analysis and keep abreast of digital trends
  • Ensure all content is up-to-date
  • Assist in developing digital plans to support our multi-channel campaigns
  • Use insights gained to assess the effectiveness of content, and help improve the impact of our digital comms
  • Support the marketing team by conducting keyword research, on-page optimisation, technical audits, SEO, reporting & link building activities
  • Ensure the digital elements of campaigns are implemented, tracked, and reported correctly
  • Assist in the planning, and delivering of HRF media & marketing campaigns.
  • Support the wider marketing function with regular data led insights on campaigns
  • Assist in the development of the overall marketing strategy
  • Liaising with digital agencies to ensure websites are working and performing effectively
  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders & colleagues to ensure ‘buy in’ for any site development
  • Where necessary to be available out of hours where input from the marketing department is needed
  • Any additional tasks required by your manager

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Creative, organised, and a good communicator
  • Good general marketing experience
  • Solid knowledge of website analytical tools, goal creation, and conversion tracking
  • Demonstrable experience of CMS systems to update and develop quality web content
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to present data at management level
  • Working knowledge of HTML
  • Strong time management skills
  • Self-motivated, inquisitive, and able to act on own initiative
  • Excellent attention to detail & accuracy
  • Basic knowledge of Google Ads & Facebook Ads
  • Ideally experience of using Adobe Creative Suite packages
  • Demonstrable ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines, and juggling multiple projects
  • Abreast of current digital developments
