About

Palladium implements Maven, a Disability Access and Inclusion Service. Maven works with external clients, organisations and across Palladium’s international development programs to deliver disability access and inclusion services. The goal of Maven is to change the way society views people with disability, by breaking down barriers for inclusion in m ainstream society. Maven values the lived experience of people with disability, who make up the core advisory team who design, deliver, and evaluate all of Maven’s work.

Role

The Maven Manager is a senior leadership role in the program that leads and manages the Maven services.

Location

The role is based in Adelaide, Australia (but remote working / other locations will be considered) on an up to 0.8 FTE role.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reviewing, monitoring and updating Maven policies, procedures, and services to ensure high standards are maintained
  • Recruiting and managing Maven talent and ensuring accessibility for the team
  • Contribute to establishment and maintenance of Maven strategic relationships and partnership
  • Provision of high-level subject matter expertise in relation to disability access and inclusion services for Maven, for diversity and inclusion aligned to Palladium’s corporate functions and aligned to a Gender, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) lens for internal programs
  • Oversight of all Maven operations including budgetary, risk management, evaluation and learning
  • Work closely with leadership to support business development.

Key Competencies

  • Tertiary qualifications in disability, health, or relevant discipline or equivalent level of lived experience. People with disability are strongly encouraged to apply for this position;
  • Significant relevant work experience, preferably within disability access and inclusion services, particularly with managing and working with people with disability;
  • Demonstrated experience in working in national and / or international context managing the design and delivery of disability access and inclusion services;
  • Excellent technical/ business writing skills and strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills, and prior experience leading effective teams;
  • Flexibility to travel to various locations throughout the Asia Pacific region;
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion, particularly in a multi-cultural environment.
