MEAL & MIS Coordinator At Save the Children

CHILD SAFEGUARDING:

Level 3: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.

ROLE PURPOSE:

To facilitate country office MEAL and management information systems including supporting development and implementation of learning agenda; and designing, and implementing Web-based data management systems**.**

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

Project MEAL tasks (Hygiene & Behavior Change Coalition (HBCC) project with Unilever)

– Lead in revision and monitoring of quality benchmarks and extracting learning for course correction and project evaluation for HBCC project

– Develop MEAL plan for HBCC project

– Prepare field monitoring reports, maintain action point tracker, and develop and monitor action points implementation.

– Support member and donor reporting of HBCC project

– Conduct campaign outreach measurement and effectiveness evaluation for project campaigns including radio shows, BVM, social media, TV commercials, and on-site campaigning.

– Support with drafting of project closeout report

– Develop Indicator Performance Tracking Table

– Develop MIS database for project data management

Monitoring Evaluation Accountability Learning

– Work closely with Senior Coordinator Research, Evaluation, and Learning to develop and implement learning agenda for the Pakistan country office.

– Gather qualitative information, success stories, case studies, lessons learnt and other relevant information, ensuring that they are appropriately packaged, stored, shared and encouraging their application.

– Develop monitoring and evaluating mechanism for tracking progress of implementation of learning strategies and develop approaches to improve performance.

– Support Program teams and other technical staff to design tools for monitoring and evaluation of project activities as agreed in MEAL framework.

– Participate in the conduct of monitoring supervisions, evaluations and operation researches.

– Work with teams to undertake analytical work and generate sectoral and cross-thematic learnings on trends and opportunities for SC in Pakistan to achieve better outcome for children.

Management Reporting

– To develop a system for data management and reporting for Country Strategic Plan (CSP) milestones and outputs.

– Develop and maintain Indicator Performance Tracking Tables for existing and upcoming projects, with special focus on HBCC.

– Map out project indicators with CSP milestones and outputs to report annual and quarterly progress and achievements.

– Consolidate project progress and total reach for country annual report and donor reports.

– Compile and analyze data and share it with management and program teams at various levels;

– Responsible to coordinate with partners for the implementation of data tools and collection of information.

– Regularly analyse program and MEAL data (Action Plan Tracker and Feedback and Complaint Databases).

– Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

– Masters Degree in Social Sciences or equivalent 16 year’s education from HEC recognized university. Preference will be given to candidates with computer science background.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

– Approximately 4-5 years’ experience of designing monitoring tools and undertaking research, analysis and learning activities with an emphasis on data management and analysis.

– Demonstrated experience of offline and online data entry platform development; and quantitative and qualitative data analysis using Ms. Excel, Power-BI or other software.

– Ability to produce and disseminate research and evaluation outputs to a variety of audiences using effective approaches with limited guidance and oversight.

– Reasonable familiarity with SQL Server, ASP.NET with C# and SharePoint. Preference will be given to candidates with experience of using web based data management services as well as Smart Phone environments and applications.

– Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

– Fluency in written and spoken English is highly desirable
