Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Designing logical frameworks for monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) activities for implemented programs and tracking them, in addition to indicator tracking tables to determine progress against the agreed objectives (indicators).
  • Coordinating and maintaining continuous communication with the field MEAL team to inform them about upcoming activities, work methodologies, data collection tools, and required documentation.
  • Coordinating with other departments, especially the programs team, to ensure addressing all potential needs.
  • Understanding donor reporting requirements and leading their preparation for ongoing projects.
  • Ensuring timely and appropriate support for the field team regarding needs assessments, such as supporting the development of data collection and analysis tools and report writing.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of data received from field teams and its usability for preparing required documentation and reports.
  • Reviewing and modifying documentation and reports with the field team before sharing them for final approval.
  • Understanding donor reporting requirements and leading their preparation for ongoing projects.
  • Collecting necessary information for report preparation from various sources such as UN reports, research studies, articles, or even media reports.
  • Participating in training MEAL teams on data collection tools to ensure their readiness to train field data collection teams.
  • Producing and updating information mapping products such as maps, charts, graphs, and designs to meet all reporting requirements in collaboration with the field team.
  • Writing project proposals and related sections as needed and based on the department manager’s request.
  • Contributing to preparing fact sheets related to the humanitarian context on a regular basis.
  • Preparing required reports in coordination with the field reporting team.
  • Attending periodic meetings with the direct manager, subordinates, and relevant colleagues to discuss and review the latest updates.
  • Performing essential administrative tasks in collaboration with the HR department, such as job description development and periodic updates, performance evaluation, capacity-building plans, attendance tracking, recruitment processes within the department/section, supporting HR decisions related to employees, and motivating the team to comply with them.
