About SENED

SENED is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit organization licensed and registered in Türkiye with the number 27-15-175. SENED Organization was established shortly after the Syrian Nakba and in response to the suffering of millions of Syrian refugees in Turkey as well as internally displaced people in Syria, with the aim of alleviating suffering, achieving justice, equality, and freedom, strengthening the role of civil society, and supporting and developing the local community. SENED works in the humanitarian work sectors to support, empower, and educate the community through several programs, and takes special care of people with disabilities and their families and defends their issues.

SENED Association emphasizes the need to create safe, accessible, and participation-encouraging living conditions for the emotional, intellectual, physical, and social development of individuals by focusing on the people with disabilities. Beyond the medical perspective on disability, it tries to find solutions to the problems faced by disabled people with a holistic perspective by considering the disabled people, their families, and the society they live in, focusing on the conditions they experience. SENED Association aims to create a safe and supportive environment and space by conducting family-oriented activities to help disabled individuals and their families to become stronger, discover their potential and stand by with their children. By collecting data on refugee disabled people, identifying problems and needs, SENED strives to ensure harmony between disabled refugees and local people with a voluntary, professional team and a community-based approach. In all activities, education, research, advocacy, etc. carried out on platforms created by local and disabled refugee people.

Job Details

Job Purpose

Providing the necessary assistance and support to implement Sened Organization’s media plan, including preparing the required media, documentation and photographic outputs.

Key Activities/Tasks/Duties:

– Preparing and implementing photography and videography operations for the organization’s projects and activities in the required places.
– Editing and producing media materials.
– Cooperation and coordination with the media department in Türkiye.
– Storing and archiving media products correctly.
– Developing and implementing the media content and designs necessary for the organization’s projects.
– Record and edit desired videos.
– Collaborate with project managers to document projects.

Note: The above key responsibilities/tasks are illustrative. Other future responsibilities/activities may be assigned to the position depending on the department’s organizational chart.

Required Qualifications (Education/Languages/Work Experience)

A. Essential:

– At least three years of experience in a similar position.
– Advanced knowledge of creative software such as Adobe Suite, visual and audio editing software.
– Advanced knowledge in photography and filmmaking.
– Intermediate level in English.
– Knowledge of social media and public media tools and techniques.

B. Desirable:

– The presence of media photography tools, such as a camera, its tools, and a computer with good specifications.
– Bachelor’s degree in fine arts, media, or any other related field.
– Good experience in humanitarian work and its principles.
– Good experience in dealing with donor policies, procedures, requirements and compliance.
– Advanced level in MS Office – Excel – Word – PowerPoint
