Focus on the Technical Service & Capitalization Service
The Technical & Capitalization Department is made up of 13 people. The STC is the guarantor of the development and compliance with policies and sectoral intervention frameworks in line with PUI’s sectors of intervention. He supports teams at headquarters and in the field to improve the technical quality of the interventions carried out. The STC intervenes transversally in all the organization’s missions with a focus on 3 specific objectives: technical and programmatic support for operations through technical and strategic support, capitalization and technical standardization, strengthening of technical capacities organisation.
And the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Intern in all this?
As a Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Intern, under the direct supervision of the SMSPS Referents and in close collaboration with the Health/Nutrition and Protection Referents, you will be required to participate in the technical and programmatic strengthening of SMSPS interventions aimed at improving well-being and reducing signs of distress and mental disorders within our intervention areas and as part of an integrated approach.
Under the direct supervision of the MHPSS Referents and in close collaboration with the Health/Nutrition and Protection Referents, you will work with the MHPSS Referents to create and consolidate a toolbox and to formulate programmatic approaches concerning interventions in MHPSS in emergency situations, drawing on the organization’s MHPSS intervention framework, the types of contexts and interventions implemented in communities. You will also participate in establishing an inventory of the activities implemented by the missions, in the formalization of existing learning.
What you will need to land this internship
- An Agreement issued by your training organization: You must be attached to a training center approved by the State and provide proof of pursuing a higher diploma, level Bac+4 or bac+5, in Psychology, preferably in Clinical Psychology.
- Experience: Experience in an association environment and/or internationally will be valued.
- Skills: You have knowledge of community psychosocial support approaches and SMSPS interventions in humanitarian work.
- Required qualities: You have a sense of responsibility, are autonomous, organized and demonstrate rigor in your work. You have good interpersonal skills as well as excellent writing skills.
- Languages: Do you know French and English like the back of your hand? Great, they are two essential languages for this position!

PUI will offer you
- Bonus: €4.90/hour
- Support: Support of up to 50% of the transport ticket and up to 60% of the Restaurant Tickets (with a face value of €10)
- Rest : 1 RTT per month (37 hours/week)
