This internship is part of an academic, professional or socio-professional training program, and must meet the conditions set by the Employment Market Supervisory Board (CSME). The duration of the internship, set by the tripartite agreement, is 6 to 12 months at 100%.

Contexte & Mission
Médecins Sans Frontières is an independent international medical and humanitarian organisation that provides care to people in need, to people affected by natural or man-made disasters and to victims of armed conflict, without discrimination and regardless of race, religion, beliefs or political affiliation (MSF Charter).
The Middle Donor Fundraising Intern actively contributes to the quality of MSF Switzerland’s donor relations (in conjunction with the Direct Marketing Officers and Middle Donor Officers) by responding to their various requests. He/she actively contributes to the development of the various fundraising activities and to the smooth running of the unit.
Main responsibilities
MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATIVE MONITORING OF DONATIONS & DATABASE
- Validation of daily transactions: identification of donations arriving in our postal accounts, banks and by electronic means (coding of donations, transmission of information to department employees, assistance in finding anonymous/semi-anonymous donations)
- Preparing the thank you process for middle donors
- Processing physical mail from donors middle
- Updates and enrichment of the database.
DONOR RELATIONS
- Responds to donor emails, as well as any other requests (issuing duplicate donation certificates, sending payment slips, etc.);
- Use every opportunity to strengthen the support and loyalty of our donors;
- Help in developing support proposals and sending documentation for middle donors;
- Contributes to the organization and monitoring of cell events: breakfasts, meetings, donor events, webinars, etc.
- Participates in the design and/or updating of communication media, in the writing of various contents (e-mail templates, project sheets, support proposals, various communication media, etc.)
MARKETING PROJECTS
- Contributes to paper micro-mailings, invitations, thank yous: writing, monitoring translations with translators, monitoring layout with the graphic designer.
- Coordination and sending of emails and digital questionnaires: content and photo research, writing, translation monitoring, layout in Mailchimp.
OTHERS
- Contributes to the analysis of quantitative and qualitative data from middle donor questionnaires, presentation of results
- Participates in cell meetings, responsible for taking notes and minutes
- Taking notes on association projects and meeting minutes
- Participate in the development of the Database
- Participates in information meetings of the department’s working groups and stays informed about the various MSF projects.
- Strategic monitoring
Profile sought
- Currently studying or completing a cycle of higher education
- Be eligible for an internship agreement with a third party
- Experience Ideally in a donor/client relations department or successful experience in an administrative role with equivalent responsibility an asset
- Customer service experience (CRM) an asset
- Excellent command of IT tools and Excel
- Comfortable with numbers
- Fluent French, very good level of German (B2 or above) and good level of English (B1 or above, Italian a plus)
- Donor oriented
- Rigorous and with a great sense of detail
- Proactivity, autonomy, initiative, rigor and organizational skills
- Good writing skills and interest, impeccable spelling
- Strong interest in humanitarian work
- Interest in digital
- Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility and team spirit
Working conditions
- Mandatory tripartite internship agreement
- Internship 6 to 12 months at 100% (depending on the internship agreement)
- Based in Geneva, Switzerland
- Start date: Mid-April 2025
- Gross monthly salary: CHF 2,000.-
