Doctors with Africa CUAMM is the first Italian healthcare-focused NGO officially recognized by Italian authorities.
Founded in 1950 with the aim of training doctors to work in developing countries, Doctors with Africa CUAMM is working in Angola, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda and the Central African Republic implementing healthcare projects in partnership with local governments and institutions.

REQUIREMENTS
Degree or Diploma in Midwifery

  • Good knowledge of English
  • Previous experience at hospital level in low resources settings
  • Previous professional experience in training/supervision of local staff is considered an asset

KEY DUTIES
The midwife is responsible for guaranteeing clinical, organizational and training/supervision support for the regular functioning of maternal health services at Rumbek Hospital.
The specific tasks will be:

  • ensuring the smooth functioning of the delivery room and maternity ward, collaborating with doctors for the management and organization of the departments
  • collaborating in clinical supervision activities, on-the-job training and continuous education of Maternity staff
  • implementing other actions aimed at strengthening the capacities of local staff and improving the quality of services
