Migrant Child Protection Officer in Tenerife At Save the Children – Spain

With the arrival of more than 5,600 boys and girls in the protection system in the Canary Islands, Save the Children is preparing to support this emergency situation.

For this, we are in the active search for a Migrant Child Protection Officer willing to mobilize to Tenerife 3 months immediately.

If you have at least two years of experience in similar positions and / or experience in psychosocial care or protection with children at social risk in multicultural settings; and you are immediately available to mobilize at least 3 months to Tenerife, we invite you to register for this offer.

GENERIC CONDITIONS:

• Full day and contract due to production circumstances of 2 to 4 months.
• For a full day, the salary is 2,000 euros gross per month approx. (pressed extra payments).
• Location: Tenerife

REQUIRED TRAINING

• University degree: Social Work or Ed. Social.
• Training in Intercultural Mediation and Human Rights.
• Languages: Spanish and English. Very valuable: Arabic and / or French.
• Highly rated: Driving license.

REQUESTED EXPERIENCE

• Experience of at least 2 years, in att. to childhood and young migrants.
• Intercultural mediation and Human Rights.
• Contexts of high cultural diversity.
• Cooperative learning.
• Approach to Children’s Rights and Gender.
