Job Description

The Atlantic Zone Program Assistant carries out his/her duties under the authority of the Coordinator of his/her assigned area and the program referents (EHA, Community Mobilization, etc.) of Operations France. He/she works in collaboration with the logistics, EHA and Community Mobilization teams.

ASSIGNMENT

The assistant participates in programmatic monitoring and reporting in support of area coordinators. He/she participates in the design work, technical capitalization and field interventions with program managers.

List of main responsibilities:

Relevance, quality and design of projects

Participate in EHA technical assessment and diagnostic missions and in writing reports under the supervision of the area coordinator in the IDF, Nantes, Lille, Toulouse and Marseille areas and in conjunction with program managers.
Assist area coordinators and program managers in the technical design of activities .
Follow up and monitor the “hotline” technical support to associations and institutions with the EHA coordinator.

Monitoring and operational follow-up

Under the supervision of the area program managers and the EHA coordinator, update the various monitoring and program management tools (in particular monitoring of installations, monitoring of project indicators, updating of the DIAHL platform)
Assist, where necessary, the program managers and the EHA coordinator in operational implementations (installations, maintenance, distributions, etc.)
Assist in the relationship with technical service providers and volunteers assigned to the activities (presentation of activities, technical solutions)
Assist program managers in hygiene kit distribution and hygiene promotion activities

Capitalization

Participate in the centralization and dissemination of procedures, guides and tools related to WASH activities in France
Participate in capitalizing on intervention methods and techniques and on experiences acquired by Solidarités International and other stakeholders for WASH activities (technical sanitation solutions, gray water management, etc.)
Participate in the drafting of projects and donor reports under the supervision of the area coordinator
Participation in the archiving of administrative and programmatic documents
Participate in the creation of tools (technical, MEAL, etc.) and their improvements

Logistical and financial means

Participate in the proper maintenance of documentation related to storage (e.g.: stock monitoring, inventory, etc.);
Participate in the logistics/finance cycle related to the management of EHA activities (BCI, OFU, etc.)

Human Resources

Occasionally, when missions require it, participate in the search for volunteers (identification and selection): briefing and support; administrative management of volunteers (meal vouchers, signing of charter and volunteer document); planning of volunteer HR and coordination during interventions in support of the person in charge of the intervention.
Participate at the end of the contract in the recruitment of the replacement intern (review of the job description, publication, CV pre-selection using an analysis grid, participation in interviews and handover)

IF YOU WILL OFFER THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS

Position based at the Solidarités International offices of its assigned base (Nantes) with travel in the field
Contract according to student status (Internship or work-study program)
Legal compensation of 15% of the hourly ceiling of the social security in force.
The compensation is calculated in proportion to the actual hours of presence over the month (on average 1 month = 154 hours, or 22 days of 7 hours/day). Compensation: 4.90 euros/hour.
Meal vouchers (60%), transport tickets (50%) covered by the association

– Studies in development, water and sanitation, project management, environmental health, political science, a scientific profile may also be appropriate.
– Knowledge of Water, Hygiene and Sanitation and/or knowledge of the humanitarian field is an asset
– Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office pack (especially Excel) and GIS software (Earth, QGIS);
– Very good analytical and writing skills
– Good synthesis skills
– Proactivity and critical thinking
– Organization and anticipation
– Interpersonal skills
– Ability to work under pressure
– Commitment to the principles and work of SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL.
– Driving license B
