Reporting to the coordinator of the technical support pole for the NS, the Africa Zone Officer will be responsible for the direct support of the National Societies in the Africa zone and the coordination of the action of the CMRPS in this zone. He/she will also be responsible for cross-cutting files on a global scale within the framework of the implementation of the IFRC First Aid Vision 2030.

MISSION 1: Provide technical support to National Societies in the AFRICA zone
Under the supervision of the coordinator of the Technical Support Center for National Societies:
Ensure the development, management and monitoring of CMRPS projects in the Africa region
Ensure good communication and coordination with the SN and IFRC offices in the Africa zone
Provide technical reference on projects implemented by CMRPS partners (SN, CRF, FICR, other CMRPS partners)
Providing technical support to African SNs, remotely and in the field
Carry out assessments, expert missions, project development, and involvement in research work
Organize CMRPS technical support activities in the Africa zone (ToT, IFAA, regional meetings, webinars, UFAA, CFA, etc.) in response to requests from the SN and in collaboration with CMRPS technical file managers.
Produce, review and promote technical products and tools on National Societies’ first aid (National Societies’ educational curricula, guidelines, training materials, etc.) by providing expertise in first aid and training.
MISSION 2: Contribute to the general functioning of the CMRPS
Contribute to communication and representation at the request of the director.
Participate in the search for funding and the development of project proposals
Manage and lead the pool of CRF Trainers of Trainers and their mobilization on CMRPS actions
Manage, organize and develop the documentary base of CMRPS technical resources (digital platform, drives, etc.).
Participate in cross-functional projects at the request of the CMRPS management
Develop technical resources (guides, factsheets, methodologies, training programs, etc.) to support capacity building and PS programs of National Societies
Contribute to the definition of the strategy of the CMRPS, the IFRC, and that of the CRF internationally in connection with First Aid
Participate in team meetings, note taking, management of the generic first.aid box, contribution to the annual report, etc.

Practical information related to the position
18-month fixed-term contract
With higher education (Bac +5), you have at least 3 years’ experience in humanitarian or international development project management .
You know first aid ,
have experience working in Africa and knowledge of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement
You have a perfect command of French and English and another official language of the International Federation (Spanish or Arabic)
Knowledge of the international department would be appreciated.
