DRC PRESENTATION.

With the onset of large mixed migration flows into Colombia due to the Venezuelan crisis, DRC initiated an integrated humanitarian response in 2018 to meet the urgent needs of refugees, asylum seekers, migrants, Colombian returnees and host communities in some of the areas. most vulnerable areas of Colombia, such as the coastal areas of the Caribbean (Riohacha and Barranquilla). urban centers (Bogotá and Cundinamarca), and Caquetá. In 2021, DRC opened field offices on the South Pacific coast in the department of Nariño and the northern area of ​​Colombia in Norte de Santander.

POSITION GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Under the supervision of the TM Team Leader, the TM officer ensures the effective and professional implementation of TM component activities and objectives in the field and office in accordance with the guidelines of the Economic Recovery-TM programs and the overall strategy of TM. DRC in assigned territories.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Implementation of the MPCA (Multipurpose Monetary Transfers) program.

  • Under the supervision of the TM team leader, implement specific TM activities (targeting potential beneficiaries, registration of beneficiaries, provision of information-guidance and related functions to ensure the highest quality in project implementation).
  • Support the TM Team Leader in supervising attendees in TM activities in their implementation area with support in monitoring and quality of their work.
  • Support in the planning, execution and monitoring of activities on the ground, in areas of high vulnerability and generally with multiple effects.
  • Support the TM Team Leader in developing and maintaining good relationships with persons of concern, relevant stakeholders and other humanitarian actors, to ensure the implementation and coordination necessary for TM activities.
  • Support the TM Team Leader in the management and handling of databases, including external and internal referrals to the program.
  • Participate in the preparation of internal and donor reports.
  • Report to the TM Team Leader, incidents, delays, challenges or challenges for the implementation of activities.
  • Participate and support in the preparation of informative material and key messages to the community.
  • Ensure that the DRC protection approach is considered in TM implementation activities.
  • Contribute to the identification and continuous analysis of risks in the implementation of the program.
  • Conduct and/or support home visits to identify habitability and vulnerability conditions in assigned work areas.
  • Other activities necessary for the success of the program

Programming and operations

  • Ensure the highest quality of TM interventions and consistency between all ongoing and proposed projects in the intervention area of ​​responsibility.

EXPERIENCE :

  • 2 years of relevant experience in humanitarian assistance/action, social work, human rights or cash transfer programs, related to an NGO or other non-profit organization.
  • Field experience and work with urban, and/or rural, and/or indigenous communities in situations of vulnerability or exclusion.
  • Experience and ability to interview people of all ages and backgrounds addressing cases with high emotional impact: intercultural communication.
  • Excellent skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in managing databases.
  • Experience in the production of technical material (training material, monetary transfer tools, reports, documents, among others).
  • Skills and experience in training and capacity development of inexperienced personnel.
  • Experience with accountability measures and compliance with donor requirements.

EDUCATION LEVEL:

Relevant university degree (e.g. political science, law, international development, social work, psychology, human rights), or equivalent professional qualification.
