Monitoring and Evaluation Co-ordinator EUPE
Role Purpose
British Council will implement the Enabling University Peace Education in Regional Conflict/Post-conflict Settings (EUPE) Project – an ambitious and innovative peace education programme in Sudan and Ethiopia. We are seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation Co-ordinator to support the project delivery in Sudan and be part of the country delivery team. The role holder will support the delivery of all monitoring, evaluation, assessment and learnings per British Council policy and client requirements.
Role specific knowledge and experience:
The main essential knowledge and experience points that we are looking for you to evidence are:
- English language (IELTS 6 or above)
- Excellent command in Arabic
- University Degree in Economic and Economic Development, Statistics or Social Studies or equivalent work experience
- MA in Econometrics and Social Statistics or Economic Development or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 1 year experience in supporting the delivery of data collection, data analysis and report writing
- 1 year experience in monitoring and evaluation of projects and or similar support in an equivalent business environment
Role Specific Skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively with tight deadlines
Desirable requirements:
- Project Management for Development (PMD)
- Accredited Monitoring and Evaluation Certificates
- Management of Risk (MoR)

Contract Duration – Fixed Term Contract ending 31 January 2024
Location – Khartoum, Sudan
Requirements – All applicants should have a pre-existing legal status to live and work in country of application. The British Council will not facilitate/sponsor visa applications and work permits.
