INTERNATIONAL WARS AND DISASTERS VICTIMS’ PROTECTION ASSOCIATION (IRVD) is a non -governmental organization established by a group of volunteers in Syria during the crisis in 2012 and registered in the USA, Sweden, and turkey.
IRVD is implementing projects through regional offices in Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, Yemen, Sudan, Iraq, Palestine, and Somalia.
Our work sectors are Health, Nutrition, Education, Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), Protection, Shelter &Non-food items, Wash and Sanitation.
IRVD also manages development projects, advocates to empower civil societies and local governance
Job Description
IRVD is seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer who will support the implementation of the IRVD Project by implementing the M&E activities of the project; assisting Program coordinator in preparing weekly, quarterly and annual reports on project progress; and monitoring project activities regularly
Implementation of Program
Responsibilities:
- Implement program monitoring and evaluation procedures, including the M&E work plan
- Monitor all project activities and progress towards achieving program goals
- Present quarterly data and analysis to the program team and collaborate with the Senior Program staff on strategies for improving the effectiveness of the project
- Updating the daily/weekly report of the project’s activities. Transferring the picture of implementation and its quality to the Monitoring and Evaluation Department.
- Follow up on closing recommendations resulting from monitoring and evaluation reports.
- Collecting data from various beneficiaries and stakeholders to verify satisfaction and follow up on resolving complaints
- Collecting documentation of activities according to the project’s approved follow-up and evaluation plan.
- Attending periodic team meetings.
- Writing lessons learned for the project and specific cases.
- Monitoring the project’s field activities outside the centre (if any).
Ability to:
- Ability to work in a stressful setting and adapt quickly to changing environments
- Ability to conduct work in a professional and mature manner
Qualifications
- At least two years of professional experience in the humanitarian sector, with at least two years working in M&E.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
- Proven experience in data collection, analysis and information management.
- Demonstrated experience in collecting qualitative data through focus group discussions and key informant interviews.
- Working knowledge of evaluation methodologies ( process, outcome, impact)
