The minimum requirements include:
- University studies in Agronomy Engineering, Systems Engineering or area related to the Project.
- 3 years of experience in the planning and execution of Monitoring and Evaluation activities in Youth Development Projects and resolution of agrarian conflicts.
- Experience in the use of surveying equipment for topographical surveying of properties.
- Extensive knowledge in carrying out evaluations (baseline, mid-term evaluation and final evaluation), logical framework analysis, formulation and monitoring of compliance with qualitative and quantitative indicators, preparation of databases and generation of reports.
- Knowledge in mediation of agrarian, social and environmental conflicts.
- Ability to develop Monitoring and Evaluation supervision visits in the field, work in partnership and establish institutional coordination networks with multicultural and multidisciplinary groups.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook), Kobo Toolbox, ONA, ODK Collect, SPSS, Google Drive, Internet, email (Others applicable to Information Systems).
- Solid knowledge of community development principles, rights-based approach, especially respect for principles of participation, inclusion, gender, diversity and responsibility.
- Proficiency in the language of the Q’eqchi’-Spanish region; indispensable.
- Valid license to drive a two-wheeled vehicle.
- Availability to stay in Santa Catalina la Tinta , with mobilization to the Polochic region: Municipalities of San Miguel Tucurú, Santa Catalina la Tinta, San Antonio Senahú and Panzós in the Department of Alta Verapaz and El Estor, in the Department of Izabal.
Main functions include:
- Support the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Coordinator in ensuring the achievement of the Project goals and objectives.
- Responsible for monitoring the technical team of Mercy Corps and the partners, in order to update the scope of the project.
- You will be responsible for entering information from the technical team and Project partners in order to measure the progress of the indicators.
- Keep Mercy Corps’ official Global Monitoring and Evaluation system updated, adding the results and means of verification stipulated in the Project’s logical framework.
