Options is seeking a National Scaling Advisor based in Togo to join the team in implementing the USAID-funded ExpandPF program.
Summary of the purpose and objective of the role
The ExpandPF National Scaling Advisor in Togo is responsible for implementing the Options approach to strengthen the adoption and scaling of PHI and self-management measures health at the national level, working closely with other consortium partners in Togo to ensure strategic links with other interventions.
He/she will be responsible for managing all country-level interventions related to scaling up PHI, as well as ensuring strong team collaboration with other team members in the country. He/she will coordinate across workstreams related to Scale Up strategy and implementation and engage with the project team to ensure there is a unified approach across countries.
The main tasks of the position will be as follows:
- Provide strategic technical leadership to the Options role on ExpandPF
- Contribute to the effective implementation of a high-quality program that produces results
- Contribute to building excellent relationships with the consortium, governments and the client and promote learning.
- Contribute to program planning and budgeting, monitor and report its results against plans
- Contribute to responsible financial management, compliance, due diligence and security
Person specification
- Master’s degree in medicine, public health, health economics, health management or a related field.
- At least ten years of professional experience, with significant experience providing technical assistance in the healthcare field
- Solid understanding of the health sector in Togo, including relationships between national and subnational levels
- Professional experience and knowledge of priority SRH/FP issues facing women and girls in Togo
- Existing relationships and understanding of key family planning stakeholders in Togo, including regional bodies (PO and FP2030)
- Significant experience leading the implementation of donor-funded programs, particularly those funded by USAID
- Excellent influencing skills, with an ability to identify and seize opportunities to gain buy-in and support from decision-makers.
- Fluency in written and spoken French
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- A commitment to the principles of Options programs, namely safeguarding, the principle of ‘Do No Harm’ and creating an enabling policy environment for voluntary family planning.
