NCD Activity Manager at INTERSOS

General Purpose of the Position

The Non-Communicable Disease Activity manager will be responsible for leading, supervising and monitoring the Integration of NCD-MH in the primary health package being implemented by the INTERSOS Health Team with the aim of attaining delivery of high-quality medical care for patients, as well as to vastly improve the health condition of the target population.

Tasks and Main Responsibilities

· Provides technical support and supervision to curative staff in targeted LGAs to ensure al the activities foreseen in relation to NCD patients are implemented and are in line with the project standard guidelines and tools., including but not limited to patient identification, patient education, record keeping and respecting confidentiality.

· Leads in the implementation of the NCD integration in the different INTERSOS locations, according to the standard programmatic guidance and monitoring tools.

· Ensures supervision of data collection and the monitoring tools for NCD (NCD database, monthly data sheet) are well known by all medical staff, compiled correctly and shared with the MAM in a timely manner.

· Collaborates in the monitoring of current activities/availability of needed materials and assistance in NCD-MH data collection.

· Prepares the weekly/Monthly data compilation and reporting according to the agreed template, and ensures the submission of NCD training and weekly NCD Activity report.

· Ensures that team members respect INTERSOS and national protocols and guidelines by all members of the medical team and supervise the provision of medical care to the program population according to updated MoH protocols and programmatic guidance.

· Ensures that team members have clearly defined objectives, understands their objectives and responsibilities, and understands/implements NCD-MH program guidelines and protocols.

· Provides technical and organizational support and trainings to the NCD-MH project staff.

· Reports on progress and challenges in relation to the NCD integration process

Professional requirements

· Bachelor’s university degree in either medicine, public health or any related field.

· 5(five) years of relevant professional work experience in public health with Background/familiarity with Emergency.

· Possession of a valid practicing certificate/license.

Personal requirements

· Essential computer literacy (word, excel and internet)

· Leadership, people management and development, teamwork and cooperation, and service orientation.

· Understanding of humanitarian operations principles, standards and best practices

· Manages effectively his/her own time as well as flexible and available to work over time when needed

· Good command of written and spoken English, Kanuri and Hausa Languages

· Excellent interpersonal and team building skills and excellence as a team player

· Analytical and reporting skills

· Respect and adherence to protection principles

· Honesty and integrity and able to cope with stressful situations.
