HALO’s Syria Program: HALO’s program in Syria was established in 2016 and is coordinated from offices in Amman, Jordan, and Syria. HALO conducts its projects in Syria through national NGO partners and a HALO Field Office in Kelli, Idleb. Current projects in Syria include Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), Non-Technical Survey (NTS), Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE).
Job Description and Requirements:
- Assisting in Identifying, marking and reporting all single items of Explosive Remnants of War (ERW).
- Assisting in identifying contaminated communities with ERW
- Following all the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) while conducting NTS Tasks.
- Coordinate with local authorities before and during the Tasks.
- Coordinate and liaise with HALO Operations Room in line with SOP.
- Adhere to all directives issued by the Team Leader/Deputy Team leader in the absence of the Team Leader.

Current projects in Syria include Explosive Ordnance Clearance (EOD), Non-Technical Survey (NTS), and Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE).
Job Description and Requirements:
- Assist in identifying, marking and reporting all objects of war remnants.
- Assist in assessing cities and villages contaminated with war remnants
- Follow all standard operating procedures while performing NTS assignments and coordinate with local authorities before and during the execution of assignments.
- Maintain constant and direct contact with the operating room.
- Adhere to all instructions issued by the team leader/assistant team leader in the absence of the team leader.
Basic criteria:
- High school diploma or higher.
• Possess strong core skills, including:
The initiative.
- Self-motivation.
- Analytical thinking.
- Problem solving.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute tasks independently within specified time frames.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in the field.
Preferred criteria:
- 1 to 2 years experience in NGO sector.
- Good level of writing and speaking in English.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in non-technical survey of war remnants
- Field work experience.

- 1 to 2 years of experience in the NGO sector.
- Good level of written and spoken English.
- Proven competency in using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in Non-Technical Survey (NTS) of Explosive Remnants of War (ERW).
- Work in the field Experience.
