The Program

Australia Awards Indonesia (AAI) is managed by Coffey on behalf of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). Australia Awards is an integral part of Australia’s development cooperation program with Indonesia and has enjoyed strong support from both governments for more than sixty years. Australia Awards addresses two key challenges: to fill a gap in the pool of individuals with the higher-level capacity to contribute to Indonesia’s development; and the need for a strong deep relationship based on mutual understanding between Australia and Indonesia.

The Position

The Scholarship Recruitment Officer will be responsible for assisting the selection, pre-departure and mobilization processes of PhD, Masters and SSMP scholars for courses in priority fields, and ensuring their readiness for their studies.

Roles and responsibilities include supporting the outcomes of the Australia Awards program in Indonesia by providing support for Targeting, Inclusion and Accessibility, and Recruitment activities.

Working under the supervision of Senior Manager, Scholarship Development, the Scholarship Recruitment Officer will be working across multiple program components and working closely with Awards Administration team and Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Communication team to ensure effective delivery of pre-Award activities.

The Person

You will have these skills and knowledge:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in communicating with various stakeholders in international setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining effective work relationships.
  • Experienced in finance activities.
  • Knowledge in Australian higher education system.
  • Understanding of Government of Australia system, especially relevant to DFAT scholarship activities.
  • Understanding of Government of Indonesia system, especially relevant to Indonesian regulations regarding to higher education system.

This position is locally engaged and reserved for National Citizens of Indonesia.
