Action Against Hunger is an international non-profit, non-governmental organization created in 1979. It is private, non-political and non-religious. Its goal is to combat hunger and dangerous situations that threaten women, men and children. Currently, 500 expatriates and more than 5,000 employees work for Action Against Hunger in more than forty-six countries, on projects covering our four areas of work: food, health, food security and food management. water and sanitation system.
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
- Ensure the management and effective implementation of the NET-AÏCHOU program, including coordination with member organizations of the consortium, monitoring and evaluation of activities, as well as financial management of the program, serving as the main liaison with other partner NGOs
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
- Objective 1: Plan, Monitor and Evaluate the implementation of the Net-Aïchou project
- Organize the internal and external launch of the program and ensure that all stakeholders (consortium partners and technical services) understand the objectives, activities and overall organization of the Program
- Develop with the members of the consortium a detailed monitoring and evaluation plan, a timetable of activities, a procurement plan, a communication plan, a security plan which will be essential tools for steering the program;
- Ensure the implementation of the various plans and update them if necessary by involving stakeholders;
- Hold regular meetings with the key focal points of the consortium to ensure the progress of the programs, address implementation difficulties and promote learning;
- Carry out partnership meetings in front of public and parapublic institutions, local CSOs, private partners;
- Organize the closure of the program and ensure that all end-of-program documentation is available (reports, capitalization sheets, capitalization report, studies, Appendices, Media Library, etc.).
- Objective 2: Ensure quality reporting
- Ensure compliance with the project timeline
- Check and validate the reports of the various studies before submission to the Coordination;
- Establish a reporting timeline and ensure compliance with deadlines concerning the submission of various reports
- Ensure that all project documents; APR, IBPR, evaluation reports, donor reports are loaded at Gespra level;
- Ensure reporting in accordance with the needs and requirements of the project (monthly, mid-term, final reports, etc.)
- Organize periodic meetings with project teams to ensure progress
- Objective 3: Coordinate administrative and logistical management in relation with the different Action Against Hunger departments and partners
- Participate, if necessary, in the recruitment of Action Against Hunger teams for the Net-Aïchou project
- Coordinate and verify project budget forecasts;
- Monitor the state of overall expenditure and alert when necessary to take appropriate adjustment measures;
- Facilitate and collaborate with the logistics department in defining material orders planned as part of the implementation of project activities
- Identify and collaborate with the administrative department in defining the financial, administrative or human resources needs necessary for the proper implementation of activities;
- Support the organizational and technical development (support) of the Action Against Hunger implementation partner for better control of the donor’s program and procedures;
- Participate in the harmonization of practices within the consortium, in particular those relating to the contribution of authorities and technical services, per diem costs, payment of community activities;
- Objective 4: Coordination
- Represent the consortium in various meetings with partners (government, donors, NGOs, UN, private sector);
- Visit the project regularly and work with the Field Coordinator, the Advocacy & Communication Coordinator and partner organizations for better visibility of the project;
- Support the members of the consortium in a capacity building process with a view to moving towards a transfer of skills;
OVERALL REMUNERATION
We offer immediate incorporation into a dynamic, international organization including the following contractual conditions:
Expatriate employment contract with UNAccompanied status.
- Duration: 12 months (with possibility of renewal)

- Base: Bassikounou (Mauritania)
- Salary between €36,034 – €54,052 gross per year depending on professional experience and responsibilities.
- This salary is divided into 12 payments and based on experience and background.
- Accommodation supported on the Mission by the organization (Guest house or Allowance for personal apartment)
- Transportation costs to the mission covered by the organization.
- One-week breaks with transport costs to the reference area every 3 months and an extra of €215 for the week.
- 25 working days of vacation per year with ticket paid for by the organization.
- Repatriation, accident and travel and life insurance.

PROFILE
Preferable knowledge:
- Diploma / Level of study: Bac+4 or Master in a sector related to development or humanitarian work. Alternatively a Master’s degree in political science, international law, management and project management, monitoring and evaluation.

- Professional experience of at least 5 years, including four (4) years in NGOs in coordination or management positions.

- Proven experience in networking and coordination with development/humanitarian actors.
- Experience in capacity building of local NGOs.
- Experience desired on EU donor procedures.
Personal qualities :

Position mobility:
- The position is based in Bassikounou with regular travel for coordination.
