Focus on the Logistics Service

The Logistics Department is made up of 8 people. The mission of its members is to support the field teams, by controlling logistics procedures and practices.

And the Operational Logistics Manager in all this?

As Manager of the operational logistics department, you coordinate the activities of two sectors: mission monitoring and international procurement. You pay particular attention to maintaining existing synergies and identifying new ones between these two areas of activity. You develop, implement and monitor the deployment of the service strategy. You ensure compliance with the general framework of mission monitoring and international procurement activities (procedures, processes and tools). You provide technical and analysis support to operations and activities.

To this end, your responsibilities will be as follows:

Technical and analysis support for activities, operations: You promote the place and function of the core businesses that make up your service and you support your teams in their role of operational and strategic support for missions.

Maintenance and development of field logistics capabilities: You ensure the maintenance of a coherent general framework and an appropriate methodology as part of the team’s daily activities. When necessary, you propose changes to the processes, tools and procedures essential to the proper functioning of the sectors of activity concerned. You coordinate deployments.

Active participation in programming and strategy exercises: You actively participate in defining the strategy of the Logistics Department and the association. You are a source of proposals and manage your department’s action plan as part of the annual programming.

This new position is part of a strategy to create the association’s Logistics Department. In this context, certain functions are set to evolve in a transition phase of which the operational logistics manager will be one of the main drivers. The creation of the operational logistics service requires creating new synergies between two areas of headquarters logistics activities which today come together under the same umbrella.

What you will need to succeed

Training

You can provide proof of initial training in logistics or similar, minimum bac +3.

Experience

Do you have at least 3 years of proven experience in the logistics sector, with prior experience in a similar position? Do you have solid experience of at least 5 years in humanitarian work, in Headquarters and in the field, in logistics coordination functions? Do you also have successful experience in team management? These will be undeniable assets!

SKILLS

Are you sensitive to questions and procurement issues? Do you understand the ins and outs of field logistics? Do you have a good vision of the systems, possible support for operations, activities on the ground? Do you demonstrate strong abilities to create and nurture synergies between your teams? Do you have a certain appetite for interdepartmental relationships and co-construction? This position is for you!

Required qualities

You have interpersonal and organizational skills. Do you have the ability to mobilize and unite around a project? You adhere to the values ​​of the Association and demonstrate listening, diplomacy, empathy and kindness. You are proactive and dynamic. You have good resistance to stress.

LANGUAGES

French and English have no secrets for you? So much the better, it is essential for this position, both written and oral.

PUI will offer you

Status frame

Salary: 3900.00 EUR gross monthly over 12 months, depending on experience

Medical coverage: 80% of health and welfare mutual insurance

Coverage: Coverage of 50% of the transport ticket and 60% of the Restaurant Tickets (with a face value of €9)

Rest : 5 weeks of paid leave per year + 1 RTT per month (37 hours/week)
