Operations Management Internship, “Americas” office At International Federation for Human Rights

The International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) is an international non-governmental organization whose mission is to promote the principles enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It brings together 188 national associations for the defense of human rights from five continents.

The intern will participate in the activities of the “Americas” office, such as:

  • Preparing for fact-finding and advocacy missions
  • Drafting documents, press releases and urgent appeals
  • Preparing events in Europe and/or abroad, monitoring developments in the human rights situation in the region, particularly in Mexico, Nicaragua, in Guatemala, Colombia, Argentina and Venezuela
  • Proofreading, editing and translating internal publications and other documents.

Trainee profile:

  • He/she is preparing a master’s degree in law / international law / human rights / international relations; legal training will be highly appreciated.
  • He/she is fluent in Spanish and has a good knowledge of French and/or English. A good knowledge of Portuguese would be a plus.
  • He/she has a keen interest in international law and the defense of human rights in the region and beyond.
  • He/she has knowledge of Libre Office.
  • He/she has an interest in teamwork.

Internship conditions:

  • Mandatory condition: hold an internship agreement issued by a French law faculty.
  • Remuneration: 659.76 euros/month for a full-time internship.
  • Hourly rate: 39 hours with RTT and accumulation of leave.
  • Meal vouchers with a nominal value of €9, 60% covered by the FIDH.
  • 50% coverage for public transport with proof.
  • Teleworking possible

Internship to complete: from February 19, 2024.

Intern Profile:

  • He/she is in preparation for a third cycle diploma of the Master’s type in Law / International Law / Human Rights / International Relations; Having a legal training will be very valuable
  • He/she has perfect command of Spanish, and good knowledge of French and/or English. Having knowledge of Portuguese will be a plus
  • He/she has a strong interest in international law and in the defense of human rights in the region and in other regions
  • Has knowledge of Libre Office.
  • He/she has an interest in working in a team
