Organizational context
Founded in 2011, International NGO Safety Organization (INSO) is an international non-governmental organization that supports humanitarian actors in security matters by establishing security coordination platforms in risky contexts.
INSO provides registered NGOs with a range of free services , including real-time incident monitoring, analytical reporting, security-related data and mapping, crisis management support, staff guidance and training.
Registered in the Netherlands with headquarters in The Hague, INSO provides daily support to more than 1,400 NGOs in 16 of the world’s most insecure countries.
The INSO mission in Burkina Faso
INSO Burkina Faso started in 2018 and currently supports +170 partners. Our national office is located in Ouagadougou with regional offices in Dori, Fada N’Gourma, Bobo Dioulasso, Ouahigouya branch, Kaya branch and Tenkodogo branch. The deterioration of the security context in Burkina Faso limits the capacity of NGOs to provide services safely in a context of rapid expansion of the conflict, which is causing a large number of civilian victims and displaced people. This position will provide a unique opportunity to have a direct and practical impact on the front lines of humanitarian security in a multi-faceted crisis with complex regional dynamics.
