Operations Officer Americas and Caribbean At Global Network of Civil Society Organisations for Disaster Reduction

Overview

We are looking for an operations officer to support the Americas and the Caribbean region. The operations officer will be responsible for providing administrative, financial and logistical services to enable the efficient operation of the region.

Main purpose of the role

The operations officer will provide direct support to the regional lead in administrative, financial and logical aspects of the membership in LAC and the global projects.

Overall scope of the role

The main responsibilities are:

  • Administrative support to the region
  • Financial management
  • Support donor financial reporting
  • Membership engagement regionally
  • Travel arrangements
  • Organising conferences and events

Candidate requirements

  • We are ideally looking for candidates that have the following attributes and skills:
  • BA in administrative sciences or similar
  • High proficiency, written and spoken, in English and in a second language
  • Experience in administrative, logistical and financial work (not indispensable)
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills
  • Able to work with limited supervision, and able to think, plan, prioritise and organise in a clear and structured way
  • Be able to work in and adapt to a1 rapidly changing environment.
  • Experience of working in an accounting role

Salary

GTQ 142,165 per annum plus pension contributions.
