Key responsibilities:
- Strengthening and supporting the MRCS field team and provide the technical support on relief distribution. Such as Cash and in-kind assistance.
- Plan and monitor the activities in close coordination with MRCS and IFRC CD team.
- Establish and manage a reporting timetable and deadlines for the operation and monitor this timetable to ensure all agreed deadlines are met.
- Ensure understanding of roles, responsibilities, lateral relationships, and accountabilities.
- Perform other work-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Main Tasks
- As a focal person of technical support to MRCS and represent or participate in the hub and cluster meetings from the IFRC side.
- Ensure in support of and together with MRCS, that the sub-offices function properly, work with and in support of the MRCS branches and coordinate with the local and international community.
- Manage and lead the team of field officers in their planning, organizing, supervising, and coordinating field visits, writing up reports and responding to recommendations from the field.
- Design and plan the activities realistically and informs operational management.
- Review and support operational reporting (narrative and financial) and the implementation of relief activities undertaken by the MRCS branches.
- Manage efficient and effective quality control and delivery of reporting on the operation (e.g., Updates, situation reports, information bulletins, and other relevant re-ports) and ensure all reports are clear, accurate and informative.
- Support the evidence base of M&E work to inform accountability.
- Assist with planning relief operations.
- Coordinate for Hub establishment
- Act as an interpreter and translate key documents.
- Carry out any other task assigned by the Line Manager

- Education
- University Graduate, Professional, academic in equivalent is required.
- Experience
- Five years if professional working experience is required.
- Managing and supporting staff is required.
- Ability to analyse information, and to document and narrative and financial report is required.
- Work experience with the Red Cross Red Crescent is preferred.
- Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge and experience in the emergency operation is required.
- Experience of using participatory approaches and working at the community level is preferred.
- Skill in training and developing staff is required.
- Ability to work well in a multicultural team is required.
- Language
- Intermediate plus fluent spoken and written in English.
