IRW is currently recruiting for the position of ‘Orphans and Donor Care Officer’ to join its dynamic Network & Resource Development Department. The purpose of the role is to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Islamic Relief Partner Development team focusing on Orphan Sponsorship and Donor Care responsibilities. To establish and maintain effective communication with all members of the team and other functions of IRW where relevant. Provide administrative support to Orphan Sponsorship from global donors and help ensure that all donor queries are dealt with in a prompt and positive manner. To maintain Partner Development’s infrastructure, facilities and services to provide a suitable work environment. To ensure Partner Development’s financial accountability, transparency and accuracy through participating in well-designed and implemented systems, policies and procedures.
The successful candidate must have or be:
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail; ability to organise; prioritise and work efficiently under pressure and subject to changing priorities; proven experience in meeting deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent levels of computer literacy
- Strong ability to work off of own initiative as well as be a team player
· Experience in managing multiple projects at the same time
· Experience in CRM management
· Experience in customer relations
· Considerable experience in general administration and customer service
Desirable:
· A professional or academic qualification in a Business Administration or International Development
· A working knowledge of a second language (e.g. Arabic/ Urdu/ Spanish/ Norwegian)
· Experience in working with volunteers
· Experience for working in non-profit organisation
· Experience in working for International Aid Organisation
