The Right to Protection CF (hereinafter referred to as the Foundation) is a charitable organization that focuses on providing assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs), persons under temporary protection, persons in need of international protection, stateless persons, persons at risk of statelessness and undocumented persons. Since the beginning of the conflict in eastern Ukraine, the Foundation has been monitoring the situation of IDPs’ rights protection, providing legal assistance and strengthening the humanitarian response in Ukraine. In 2023, the Foundation is launching its work in Poland to provide legal and psychological counseling to Ukrainians.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The position will operate within the framework of the project “Ensuring R2P’s delivery of emergency response and recovery support to Ukrainian refugees in Poland“, which focuses on protection mechanisms for Ukrainians seeking protection in Poland. The aim of the project is to improve the mental and psychological well-being of the targeted persons through the provision of mental health and psychological support services, legal assistance and awareness raising.
Project duration: until the end of March 2024.
According to the plan, Partnership manager have to be based in Warsaw.
Duties and responsibilities: Under the general supervision of Country Director, the employee shall:
- Build synergies with other humanitarian organizations. Develop and maintain strong relationships with partner organizations and other relevant organizations to coordinate activities and approaches.
- Maintain complete and organized partner files for each partner.
- Work in close collaboration with R2P’s program, communications, and advocacy departments and with the support of the finance/administration department.
- Collaborate with operations teams to identify needs for approaches and tools to establish new ways of working with partners.
- Contribute to the preparation of case studies/briefs highlighting partnership work for presentation at various forums and to donors.
- Manage the project development process and formulate project proposals in collaboration with programs and with the support of the finance/administration unit.
- Monitoring grant calls for proposals and tenders, identifying and analyzing potential partnership and funding opportunities.
- Based on the needs and opportunities identified in coordination with the programs, develop a fundraising strategy to expand and diversify current funding sources.
- Be a contact person for donors.
- Prepare and ensure the provision of accurate, meaningful and timely statistical and analytical reports according to the agreed schedule and/or upon request of the Country Director, as well as other relevant working documents;
- Participate in working meetings, trainings, etc., and communicate information obtained as a result of participation in such events to the regional team;
- Hold presentations and trainings;
- Perform other duties as requested by the Country Director;
- Understand and comply with the Code of Conduct and other policies of the Fundation.
Professional requirements:
● University degree in development studies, economics or socio-economic development, business administration, law, or other related field.
● Experience in project management or in fundraising with international donors and grant writing.
● Deep understanding of the Ukrainian context in Poland.
● Opportunity to make business trips.
● Excellent communication and writing skills, including cross-cultural communication skills and discretion in dealing with customer issues.
● Understanding of international human rights standards and relevant work experience;
● Knowledge of computer programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
● Excellent English language proficiency
● Ukrainian and Polish language skills will be an advantage;
● Politeness and diplomacy, fulfillment of duties guided by gender sensitivity and zero tolerance for sexual harassment;
● Ability to work independently and meet deadlines;
● Good analytical skills and attention to detail;
● Ability to coordinate teamwork and leadership skills;
● Self-motivation;
● Ability to self-improve and develop;
● Flexibility;
● Experience in preparing educational materials.
