Partnership officer (National Only) At Welthungerhilfe

Objectives

  • Ensure positive relations and productive coordination with local partners, authorities and other stakeholders.
  • Provide support and capacity building to local partners

    Tasks

  • Implement specialist workshops.
  • Prepare project progress reports.
  • Fulfill any other tasks which are assigned by the management and correspond in general to the character of this position.
  • Support positive and productive relations with selected LNGOs in eastern and southern Ukraine
  • Provide translation support for partner reports and documents for donor reporting purposes, as well as translation support for international staff and partners.
  • Support the organization in identifying, communicating and building relationships with local partners.
  • Support organization staff in conducting local partners assessments following the existing procedures.
  • Draft the partnership agreements following the existing procedure and ensure the internal revision and approvals are provided in time.
  • Be a key point of contact between the organization and its local partners.
  • Be a focal point for resolving problems, programm/operational and administrative issues with local stakeholders with the support of the other relevant departments (Logistics, Finance, Programme).
  • Support local partners during the project planning and implementation phases ensuring WHH and principles are applied.
  • Attend meetings and represent WHH when required by the supervisor.
  • Support the development of relevant and high-quality training materials for local partners including translating, editing, formatting, and dissemination.
  • Lead on administrative planning and support delivery of all capacity building training including liaising with participants before, during, and after the trainings.
  • Lead on administrative arrangements for trainings including venue, accommodation, and transport.
  • Prepare training materials and support materials.
  • Provide support for online and face-to-face training, including technical support for online learning events.
  • Procure the supplies for all capacity-building activities following organizational guidelines.
  • Work closely with program staff to document the impact and lessons learned of partner activities, including collating and summarizing data.
  • Provide input for monthly, quarterly, and annual donor reports as needed.
  • Work closely with Finance colleagues to collate and verify partner expenditures against partnership agreement budgets.
  • Keep computerized records that can easily track all partners, which includes capacity assessments, training plans, and training material.
  • Keep manual records of all partners of capacity assessments, trainings conducted, etc.
  • Comply with labor discipline, labor protection and safety rules, fire-prevention requirements, industrial sanitation and labor hygiene rules, Safety, and Environmental regulations and guidelines.
  • Perform all duties according to this job description in eastern and southern Ukraine for the projects geographical areas managed from Mykolaiv’s field office including but not limited to Poltava, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Mykolaiv.
  • Travel to the other offices and project locations of WHH in Ukraine as required and demanded by the line manager.

    Specific Qualification

  • Intermediate to fluent level of verbal and written English.
  • Relevant higher education.
  • Relevant work experience.
  • Communicative skills.
  • Ability to work in a team.
