The Opportunity
This role will support the Partnership Finance officer in providing financial inputs into all aspects of partnership finance related to SPP & WoS Area, With the overall objective of achieving high-quality programming, the main goal of this position is to ensure adequate review of partners’ financial reports and documentation as well as provide support to partners, programme, and finance team. The Partnership Finance Assistant will provide general administration support to the partnership finance officer with general duties such as archiving, scanning, and controlling all partners’ documentation.
SCOPE OF ROLE:

Budget Responsibilities: NA
Role Dimensions: Coordination with other colleagues of SPP Area Office and WoS team and Finance staff of different Sub-grantees
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
 Supervise the verification of partner’s financial reports and supporting documents, making sure that expenses are reasonable, allowable, and allocatable to the approved budget and comply with donor regulations.
 Responsible for the safekeeping of all records received from partners.
 Support the PFO of review of partner proposal budgets.
 Update the partnerships financial tracker on a regular basis.
 Check partner payment requests, enduring compliance with the agreed condition of payment, obtain necessary approvals then submitted to Treasury team .
 Liaise with partners to ensure the timely submission, completeness, correctness, and accuracy of financial reports.
 Draft General Journal (GJ) for all partner financial reports.
 Assist in conducting a Spot-check of the partner’s offices.
 Provide other ad-hoc financial data or analysis as requested.
 Financial Management and transfer of funds to partners.
 Adequate documentation according to donor financial requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent.)
* 0-2 years’ experiences in an accounting/finance.
* Experience in the NGO sector preferred.
* Experience in the Finance partnership preferred.
* Proven ability to handle a workload and multi-task in order to meet deadlines.
* Understanding of financial systems (FMS – Agresso & AMS) and procedures
* Understanding of computerised accounts packages, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Written and verbal in Arabic & English
