Peace educator (f/m/x) to strengthen gender sensitivity and non-violent masculinity in Mexico At Dienste in Übersee

Background and Partner Organisation

The Centro Solidario Tsomanotik (TSOMANOTIK) has been campaigning for an environmentally friendly, fair and community-orientated society and a dignified life since 2009. TSOMANOTIK works primarily on the topic of agroecology; the aim is to strengthen the health and food sovereignty of small farming communities on the basis of territorial self-administration and a local, solidarity-based economy. In view of the increasing violence in the context of organised crime and against women in the Mexican state of Chiapas, TSOMANOTIK supports the work of various local civil society groups in the area of peace work, such as an initiative of psychologists and social workers called “El Rebozo”. This initiative supports and accompanies networks in Tzomil and Comitán that campaign for non-violent relationships and against violence in the everyday lives of children and young people. As a peace educator (f/m/d) at TSOMANOTIK, you will strengthen the skills of TSOMANOTIK and “El Rebozo” employees and other target groups in the field of gender-sensitive education and peace work. In this way, you will contribute to the prevention of gender-specific violence and violence against children and young people in Tzimol and Comitán.

The organisation is based in Tzimol in Chiapas (Mexico).
