Salary: $2,000 (PT) – $3,500/Month (FT)

Context: EI works with the leading international humanitarian organizations around the world, including medium and small-size NGOs, helping them to modernize their services and empower the most vulnerable populations whom they serve. Our current engagements span across 5 continents and more than 10 countries (including Vanuatu, Kenya, Haiti, Ecuador).

Description: The Pilot Project Manager will oversee Emerging Impact’s portfolio of blockchain for social impact pilots across different countries and partners. The core focus of the Pilot Project Manager is the piloting of crypto-enabled blockchain applications and use cases, which enable the efficient and low-cost delivery of cash and social assistance to marginalized communities in emerging markets. **

Requirements: **

The position will require a very strong understanding of core project management processes, as well as an essential grasp of project implementation in the humanitarian/development sector. Knowledge of cash and voucher assistance (CVA) programs is strongly preferred. The candidates will be expected to have experience managing multiple projects and/or project activities simultaneously. Working knowledge of Spanish/French will be preferred.

Responsibilities: **

• Work closely with the CEO-S and COO to ensure the high quality management of projects with existing clients and partners, including providing strategic advice, and proposing approaches to optimize project outcomes and client deliverables
• Support the Pilot Deployment Lead/ to ensure consistent Pilot implementation and activity management, including identifying where additional processes, deliverables or activities are required
• Lead the overall work planning/workflow management process to maintain quality oversight across multiple pilot deployments across Emerging Impact’s portfolio
• Work closely and supportively with EI partners and clients to ensure Pilot engagements are started, sequenced, and completed on-time, including management of client and partner support and satisfaction, as well as any changes to implementation timeframes
• Support the creation and management of pilot budgets (internal and external), including adjustment of allocated resources and creation of new budgets for additional engagements where required
• Lead Pilot Design, Inception and Implementation discussions and processes with EI Clients and Partners, such as technology companies, donors, international NGOs and UN agencies
• Work with pilot partners to support the setting of core pilot objectives, and development of monitoring and evaluation tools to use throughout the pilot process to track impact and progress.
• Support the management and coordination of EI resources required to execute pilots and related projects, including the use of translators, contractors and other services necessary to complete engagements
• Ensure that implementation of activities, partnerships, monitoring and pilot outcomes are aligned with minimum standards for the delivery of cash assistance in humanitarian and development programs
• Support, lead and facilitate client and partner awareness sessions, online trainings and activity preparation and/or review activities with pilot partners to ensure a smooth implementation process
• Work actively with the EI C-Suite team to identify, propose and pursue business development and funding opportunities for Emerging Impact, with a focus on digital finance, economic empowerment, financial inclusion and the delivery of payments in emerging markets and the humanitarian/development sectors.
