In response to humanitarian needs, HI initially launched an assessment of Atlas Logistique, an operational and technical unit of HI, to determine the logistical and access needs of humanitarian actors as well as inclusive humanitarian action (AHI), which highlighted the need for logistical solutions (rehabilitation of a humanitarian airstrip, shared storage and transport, at controlled temperatures for aid actors) as well as support for response actors to make essential activities more inclusive. Secondly, a team of specialists in functional and physical rehabilitation as well as mental health were deployed to analyze the needs in the Ouaddaï province. Similarly, mental health and psychosocial support activities for refugees/returnees/hosts who are impacted by the current conflict in Sudan.
