More Information

REACH is an international humanitarian initiative founded in 2010 as a collaboration between two international NGOs, ACTED and IMPACT Initiatives, and the United Nations UNOSAT programme. REACH teams conduct needs assessments, sectoral and multi-sectoral assessments to close information gaps and support the planning and decision-making of humanitarian actors in emergency, reconstruction and development contexts.

Since its arrival in Colombia in 2019, REACH has been implementing assessments focused on understanding the magnitude and characteristics of displacement phenomena and humanitarian crises in the country. Specifically, recent REACH assessments in Colombia and the region have focused on:

  • Identify the needs and movement trends of migrant and displaced populations in transit.
  • Assess multisectoral needs of displaced and host populations in Colombia.
  • To characterize the living conditions and humanitarian needs of the population in Venezuela.
  • Monitor prices of basic goods and services in Colombia and Venezuela.
  • To carry out an in-depth evaluation, using mixed social research methods, of humanitarian needs in a specific, georeferenced context where displaced, migrant and host populations coexist.

The results of these evaluations can be consulted at the following address .
