Context and Mission

We are recruiting an enthusiastic, self-motivated post-doctoral researcher with strong quantitative analysis skills to join our dynamic team in the Urban Environment and Air Pollution research programme. The researcher will join an international team of researchers and stakeholders in the Climate Action To Advance Healthy Societies in Europe (CATALYSE) project funded by HORIZON Europe (GA 101057131). CATALYSE aims to provide new knowledge, data and tools to close the knowledge-to-action gap to accelerate climate change action and protect public health in Europe. CATALYSE will do this by: developing an integrated indicator framework and repository; quantifying the health co-benefits and costs of mitigation; developing novel surveillance and forecasting tools; investigating how stakeholders engage with climate change and health evidence; and identifying strategies for adaptation and mitigation for European health systems.

The researcher will be based in the research group of Cathryn Tonne, Associate Research Professor, coordinator of CATALYSE and co-director of the Lancet Countdown in Europe. In parallel to CATALYSE, the researcher will have the opportunity to contribute to The Lancet Countdown in Europe, an independent, international, and transdisciplinary collaboration that monitors the health impacts of climate change, and progress – or lack thereof – in Europe.
