Premises / Facilities Manager At International Committee of the Red Cross

Purpose of the post

Premises Manager manages the department in charge of ICRC premises and infrastructure within a delegation for all ICRC buildings in Tashkent.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Participates in determining accommodation and office-space needs and assists in identification of premises accordingly.
  • Draws up lease agreements, extension addendums, lease payment documentation and ensures timely payment.
  • Manages inventory of premises.
  • Organizes, coordinates, and supervises the work of the maintenance team and ensures that premises and equipment are properly maintained.
  • Supervises and controls maintenance-related expenses for the assigned premises.
  • Supervises security guards and the housekeepers’ team leader, makes sure that security and cleaning services are provided in line with the institutional framework.
  • Deals with external service providers where relevant and coordinates/supervises their work.
  • Orders or purchases any necessary material and supplies, in coordination with logistics staff, and maintains related stock.
  • Manages sustainable development / environmental care project of the Delegation.
  • Manages and properly keeps the related filing system, timely updates the organization’s online platforms and databases related to premises.
  • Together with his direct supervisor, ensures that the organization’s minimum security requirements and the passive security requirements are respected and followed at all times in the assigned premises.
  • In coordination with direct supervisor follows up with administration in ICRC missions in Astana and Ashgabat on all aspects of premises management.
  • Ensures respect for premises-related procedures and guidelines and explains them to “clients”.
  • Manages and organizes premise’s warehouses.

Desired profile and skills

  • University degree or advanced technical certificate or equivalent.
  • Very good knowledge of spoken and written English and Russian. Good knowledge of Uzbek is an asset.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • 2 years’ experience in the same field of activity.
  • Very good organization, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Management skills
