SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an international humanitarian aid association that, for over 40 years, has been providing assistance to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters by meeting their vital needs: drinking, eating, and shelter. Particularly committed to combating diseases linked to unsafe water, the world’s leading cause of death, SI implements through its interventions expertise in the field of access to drinking water, sanitation and the promotion of hygiene, but also in the essential field of food security and livelihoods. Present in 26 countries, SI’s teams – 3,200 people in total, made up of expatriates, national employees, permanent staff at headquarters, a few volunteers, etc. – intervene with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultures.

Job Description

The main objectives of the position are:

Creation, management and development of the SI relationship with its private partners (foundations, companies, etc.)
Mobilization of private sector resources to support SI programs and activities
Management of the SPP team, coordination with other RDP services and other SI services/departments
Capitalization management, production of the standard and capacity building within SI on all subjects related to the establishment, management and development of the relationship with private partners.

The main activities of the position:

Private Sector Engagement:

Follows the multi-year strategy and proposes the annual programming
Maintains a dynamic mapping of private partnership development opportunities
Builds and maintains a network of partners and prospects
Organizes formal or informal events to consolidate alliances and develop private partnership opportunities

Mobilization of Private Sector Resources:

Actively monitors funding opportunities from the Private Sector and disseminates these opportunities internally. Supports the Grants Management Service (GIP) in terms of producing activity proposals and negotiating with potential private partners.
Seeks funding for needs identified from private partners
Develops “programmatic products” targeting specific private partners
Continues the implementation of the fundraising strategy with major individual donors
Supervises the development, management and monitoring of skills sponsorship missions from which SI benefits

Service management and internal coordination within IS:

Actively participates in the strategy and annual programming of the RDP and is accountable for achieving the objectives set for the SPP.
Manages the HR structure within the SPP in conjunction with his/her line manager
Supervises the definition of desired profiles, recruitment, integration, monitoring and capacity building of the team in his/her department
Manages the action plan and organization of work within the SPP.
Collaborates closely with other departments and services to ensure the consistency and effectiveness of private partnership actions, particularly in connection with the SCI for emergency calls. Participates in various internal coordination forums within SI and interacts with various departments/services related to the subject of private partnerships.
Is responsible for reporting on all SPP activities and for rigorously updating private partnership monitoring tools within his/her department.

Capitalization management, production of the standard and capacity building within IS on all subjects related to the establishment, management and development of relationships with private partners.

IF YOU WILL OFFER THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS

• Position based at the headquarters of Solidarités International, in Clichy la Garenne (Mairie de Clichy metro station) with travel to the field

• Fixed-term contract replacing maternity leave – Executive status

• Gross monthly salary of: €3,842 or €4,001 (Level 4) depending on the scale in force at the head office

• Possibility of teleworking: 4 or 12 days of teleworking per month. In accordance with the Teleworking Charter in force and the manager.

• Leave: 2.0833 CP/month and 1 day of RTT/full month of work

University training related to the position (marketing, business school, international relations, law, etc.)

Experience: Minimum 5 years in an association or foundation in functions related to fundraising, philanthropy and partnership with the private sector

Desired skills: Very good knowledge of the philanthropic environment in France and internationally, negotiation and diplomacy skills, analytical skills, excellent command of the Office suite. Experience in advocacy and team management.

Humanitarian or development experience would be a plus

Languages: Fluent French and English required
