We are delighted to be recruiting for an inspiring and impactful leader to join Mary’s Meals International as Procurement Manager. Working as part of our global Finance team, in this newly created role, you will provide strong technical oversight and leadership for the procurement functions across Mary’s Meals school feeding programmes.

This is an amazing opportunity to use your robust experience of procurement management to roll out our global procurement strategy, to support delivery of our strategic plan and develop our procurement processes and systems to ensure sustainability and stewardship. You will take the lead on collaboration with our Programme Affiliates and Programme Partners to ensure we have highly effective procurement systems and processes in place globally, supporting major procurements and tenders from start to contract finalisation.

As Procurement Manager, reporting to our Head of Finance, you will develop strong, collaborative relationships across our Mary’s Meals family, to review, optimise and ensure global implementation of our procurement policies, procedures, and tools. With a passion for continuous improvement, you will be confident in reviewing processes and guidance documentation, providing constructive feedback and creating efficiencies via innovation and keeping stewardship, simplicity and service, at the very heart of our approach.

Other key responsibilities:

· Develop maintain and analyse systems to report on procurement spend across the organisation, working closely with our MMI Finance team.

  • Manage the provision of procurement advice to ensure all leaders have good understanding of the financial and operational implications of our global procurement activity.
  • Work in close collaboration with our Programme Operations team on the longer-term strategic overview of procurement activities reflecting planned and possible expansions in our school feeding programme.
  • Support Programme Operations with analysis and insight to provide additional insight into supplier performance.
  • Lead on the planning of procurements and work in collaboration with our Legal team to ensure contracts are in place for all procurements and to develop contract management tools that will allow us to monitor supplier performance more effectively.

With robust experience of working in a challenging procurement role, you will possess fantastic communication skills and the ability to develop collaborative, productive relationships across a variety of cultures and geographies. With a proactive, flexible and results-driven approach, you will have the ability to think critically, analyse complex information, deliver strategy and take others along with you. Strong analytical and Excel skills, combined with experience of developing reporting for a variety of audiences is essential. Experience of working for an international organisation would be beneficial but not essential.
