General context of the project
The Regional Direction for West Africa assure the development, implementation, and evaluation of the INTERSOS Emergency Programme in Cameroun, Tchad, Niger, Nigeria, Burkina Faso and Mali.
General purpose of the position
Learn how the humanitarian system works, learn how an NGO works, introduction to project management, introduction to protection.
Main responsibilities and tasks
- He/She will take care of various functions in support of the West Africa regional coordination in the INTERSOS HQ. He/She could be involved in drafting reports to donors, new programming, including drafting new project proposals and budgeting, and monitoring with the support of Deputy Regional Director.
- He / she will report to the Deputy Regional Director and work with members of the regional team, HQ and technical units.
Required profile and experience
Education
- Advanced university degree in law, political science, social sciences, psychology, humanities or other relevant field.
Professional Experience
- A previous internship / volunteering experience in a humanitarian organization will be considered a plus.
