Overview

The Project Support Staff is responsible for delivering comprehensive administrative and logistical support to ensure the seamless implementation and successful execution of the C19RM project. He plays a pivotal role in supporting the Senior Laboratory Advisor in the implementation of critical C19 response intervention areas such as surveillance, laboratory systems, COVID diagnostics and testing, risk communication and country level coordination and planning. Facilitating the attainment of project objectives and adherence to critical deadlines. This position demands exceptional organizational prowess, unwavering attention to detail, and a proven ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to ensure smooth project operations.
  • Assist in the facilitation of logistics (hotels, flight tickets, etc.) for the implementation of activities across the 36 states and FCT, primarily for C19RM’s surveillance, laboratory systems, COVID diagnostics and testing, risk communication and country level coordination and planning intervention areas.
  • Support the coordination, documentation, reporting and retirement of all activities implemented under the surveillance, laboratory systems, COVID diagnostics and testing risk communication and country level coordination and planning intervention areas of the C19RM grant.
  • Support the Program officer to review the training database and update the training plan for C19RM’s surveillance, laboratory systems, COVID diagnostics and testing, risk communication and country level coordination and planning intervention areas
  • Support the Senior Lab advisor to monitor and ensure that progress of activities and work plans remains on schedule.
  • Liaise with the GFA attached to NCDC to resolve issues as may be necessary
  • Implement robust tracking mechanisms for activity files across all levels of approval and throughout various departments and units under the C19RM grant.
  • Review, maintain, and archive retirement documents from activities at the Principal Recipient (PR) level related to C19RM’s surveillance, laboratory systems, COVID diagnostics and testing, risk communication and country level coordination and planning intervention areas among others.
  • Participate in activity spot checks as may be required
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualification

  • HND or a first degree in Basic/Health Sciences, applied sciences or its recognized equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of pertinent experience within international development programs with fluency in English language.
  • Experience in a Global Fund project and programme management would be an advantage
  • Demonstrate basic accounting and financial management skills.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Demonstrate exceptional documentation abilities (strong oral and written communication skills).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites.
  • Unwavering attention to detail and robust problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience with web-based applications, including email and browsing
  • Excellent writing and communications skills, including demonstrated technical writing skills for publication
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse international teams and willingness to learn and empower others
  • Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines and intense pressure to perform
  • References will be required.
  • Excellent skills in facilitation, team building and coordination
