Program & Partnership Coordinator At Women for Women International

Purpose

The Program & Partnership Coordinator leads WFWI Palestine planning, program roll out and implementation of WfWI SWSN programs in Palestine. The person directly oversees staff and activities to ensure quality delivery to beneficiaries. The person directly oversees staff and activities to ensure quality delivery to beneficiaries.

The Program & Partnership Coordinator plays a crucial role in identifying communities, exploring and identifying potential local and national partnerships and act as a focal person for SWSN program activities. The Program & Partnership Coordinator will ensure that SWSN program activities are executed efficiently and effectively according to the approved work plan, timetable, and budget and in raising any areas of concern or challenge to the Country Director for further guidance and support.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Engagement

  • Ensure that all SWSN program activities are aligned with WfWI’s global strategic plan and approach.
  • Coordinate community identification assessment, and ensure the timely and accurate delivery of narrative progress reporting inputs to the Country Director.
  • Advise the Country Director on the identification, development, and expansion of strategies and partnerships to enable opportunities for WfWI program participants
  • Advise and assist in the development and expansion of existing relationships with key partners relevant to participants
  • Regularly participate in cluster and coordination meetings for networking and identifying critical issues for advocacy, Men’s Engagement Program, etc.
  • Ensure that gender and protection mainstreaming are carried out at the field level by all staff and throughout all activities while promoting sustainable interventionsiveryDelivery

Delivery

  1. Program Management
  • Supervise and coordinate all WfWI SWSN program activities with a focus on quality control and impact, and ensure that activities are carried out in accordance with the mission and goals of WfWI and the terms and conditions of the grant
  • Monitor program expenditures and, in collaboration with the Operations Officer, develop monthly expenditure projections
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with local leaders, community groups, partner organizations and program participants
  • Oversee delivery of training stipends
  • Implement new strategies, tools, guidelines and materials, as needed, to ensure successful implementation and monitoring of program activities.
  • Promote referral, complaint & feedback mechanisms for beneficiaries

2. Program Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting

  • Oversee the timely collection of monitoring and evaluation data per grant agreement and donor guidelines

3. Personnel Supervision

  • Assist in recruitment, training, and supervising new employees i.e. trainers/officers..etc
  • Supervise daily operations and SWSN activities in Palestine
  • Line manage direct reports in accordance with WfWI’s performance management framework, including the setting of annual performance objectives, annual performance development plans, annual performance appraisal, and regular 1:1 meetings regarding progress throughout the year
  • Review and approve staff timesheets by the grant agreement and internal procedures
  • Conduct regular team meetings and oversee staff time and attendance and work planning/ scheduling
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job training to subordinates.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, management, sociology and pyschology or social work.
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in program coordination or project management with International organizations is required.
  • Excellent project management skills, including developing project plans, managing resources, and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and external stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented to develop and maintain project schedules, manage budgets, and keep accurate records.
  • Strong leadership skills in managing a team effectively and providing direction, guidance, support, and coaching to team members to ensure they deliver high-quality services.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate data, identify trends, make informed decisions and proffer solutions
  • Excellent budgeting skills to develop and monitor project budgets, track expenses, and report on financial performance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with team members and external stakeholders.
  • Possess cultural competence and the ability to work with diverse communities.
  • Possess flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and community needs.
  • Have a strong passion for social justice, women’s rights and a commitment to empowering communities and individuals.
  • Ability and willingness to travel within the region and internationally when required
  • Excellent communication skills in Arabic, good command in English is an asset.
