ROLE PURPOSES
Program/Project Manager provides the ICRC with access, through his/her intermediary, to a specific network that s/he is already familiar with in academic and religious circles, think tanks, NGOs, as well as other humanitarian actors such as faith based humanitarian organisations.
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Senior Program/Project Manager in analyzing, mapping and strategy building in his/her specific area of expertise.
- Maintains and builds a broad network of contacts and deepens institutional dialogue with them and their circles by organizing tailored events and facilitating high-level meetings.
- Defines information-sharing policy within an internal network of relevant colleagues.
- Engages with teams on the ground in following up cross-cutting plans of action, periodically adapting them and building regional strategic frameworks.
- Contributes actively to regional mapping and information sharing through relevant databases; drafting key bilateral and public messages; security analysis; and general environment scanning, including of social media platforms.
Required knowledge and experience:
- Diploma or Master degree in social sciences.
- 2 2-3 years professional experience in engaging with academic or religious circles, think tanks, NGOs, or other humanitarian organisations.
- Proven ability to build and maintain a network, in-depth personal knowledge of the specific population covered.
- Capacity to balance and shift between personal and professional networks.
- Capacity to represent the ICRC and its objectives in dealing with challenging contacts.
- Fluent command of English and Indonesian. Knowledge of Arabic is an asset.
- Computer proficiency.
